Discussing all the fall/ winter 2015-2016 fashion trends, we would like to say that it has been an incredible season full of the loveliest designs overall, barring the few that had us wondering about their origins. We still cannot get over the fact that models walked onto stage with bared breasts. Perhaps sometime in the future it might be a big trend, but for now, it might cause riots on the streets! We’ve discussed everything from the color trends to prints, general silhouettes to shoes and bags, hairstyles and hair accessories, nails done all fancy with matching makeup, as well as the eyewear that has left us utterly and completely captivated. We are also treated to a whole lot of fall/ winter 2015-2016 headwear trends throughout, making the whole of the outfits appear much more succinct and compete. We may not have had as many headwear accessories as that of the spring and summer seasons, but we certainly were not lacking in incredibly great looks that are both functional and positively stylish. There were all sorts of creations, from the knitted headwear to the side brimmed hats, the French berets and the Gatsby caps. It all looked quite lovely, the pretty hats making or breaking a look depending on the colors and materials with which they are worn.
#1: Totally French Berets
When it comes to hats for fall 2015, it appears that some of the biggest fashion houses have opted for the most interesting of typically French designs, bringing in the berets with a full force. We see them in a multitude of colors as well, from your simple black to the earthy clay to the fun designed and impossibly embellished.
It brings a hit of sophistication to any look. Black, red, blue and white were the main colors, and this is one accessory that can redefine you entirely.
#2: Brimmed Hats
Brimmed hats were not as big of a trend as many others, but they were certainly seen on the runway shows enough times to constitute as a trend of their own. They appear in a multitude of colors, medium sized brims used to keep the sun away and the cold at bay
The oversized teddy brown version is most definitely an overnight classic, booming in popularity and with the perfect addition of panache to make any look appear more glamorous than it very well may be.
#3: Pretty Knitted Hats
Knit hats were huge on the fall and winter runway shows and we are loving every last second of it. The best part is that they can be handmade, and they can be made by you as well!
#4: Headwear in Felt
While there are many different types of materials used to create the hats and other headwear, we see a whole lot of the felt versions appear here and there.
French berets with the oversized pompom additions come in a felt material that looks structured and perfectly positioned on curling frizzy hair. They also come in multiple colors, including earth tones and ocean hues.
#5: Hats With Fringes and Tied on Tassels
While there may not be many pieces using this trend, we have already seen a whole lot of tassels and fringes on shoes and handbags, clothing and jewelry. It was to be expected that fall 2015 hats would carry on the trend as well.
#6: Those Funky Helmets and Riding Caps
Since going eco-friendly is the big fad at the moment, we cannot help but smile at the latest in fun helmet looks that have appeared on the Fashion Week runways for the fall and winter seasons. It appears that we’ll be biking around a lot more often while still maintaining our trendy looks, from floral prints to checked designs
They look splendid on any female with a warmer skin tone when we consider the red version for ourselves.
#7: Trapper Hats
It is actually quite fun to see the trapper headwear appear on the runway at any given point in time throughout the Fashion Weeks. We know that the winter season is also taken into account, which means those months are rather important to keep warm at.
Then again, you have to wonder about the logic behind wearing such pieces with backless spaghetti strapped plunging V neckline dresses from the flapper era.
